The stained-glass windows of the St. Stephen's Basilica of Budapest are originally created by Miksa Róth stained glass artist in 1905. The Second World War caused serious damages in the basilica building, and unfortunately the fragile painted windows were also destroyed. The restorations were done by József Viktorián Pituk painter, the new large (3.5 x 1.6 meters) stained-glass (colorful painted) windows were completed between 1978-1980.
