Park, as well as the "Gödör" Club restaurant and event venue
The restaurant and club is located under the street level, and there is a rectangular pool over it.
The Gödör Klub (literally "The Ditch Club") restaurant and club (later Akvárum Klub or Aquarium Club) is situated on the planned site of the new National Theater, the strange design is a memento in one. In 1997 the socialist-liberal government started the construction, but then in 1998 the conservative first Orbán-government stopped it (with not just few with political overtones). On the site of the interrupted construction there was a big ditch, because the underground parking lot and the theater building's foundation was already started to build, and after some time for lack of a better idea a restaurant/bar/club and a grassy park were established here.
After lengthy disputes and discussions the construction of the National Theater was finally began in 2000 on a site that was favored by the government, at around the Pest-side end of the Lágymámyos Bridge (today Rákóczi Bridge) on the Danube bank. The modern building was designed by Mária Siklós architect, it was inaugurated in 2002.
A yellow tram No.47 in the station
The No. 1434 Budapest tram is an eight-axle articulated Ganz CSMG-2 (or ICS) model, which were produced between 1970-1976 in Hungary, specially for use in Budapest (this is the second generation of the model family, the original prototype was produced in 1964 in the Ganz factory in Budapest). This specific example was subject of more experimentations as well. In 2007 it temporarily received motorized pantographs (current collectors), then in 2008 a Polish-made passenger counting device with infrared sensors was installed over the doors.
This tram model has gone through a greater scrapping in 2013, when 15 trams were withdrawn from traffic and sent to disassemble.
